Mr. Stinky Cakes

Mychal Connolly

Mychal Connolly was named one of America’s Top 100 Urban Entrepreneurs for his body of work as the co-founder of the online baby-gift company www.StinkyCakes.com. He was also named one of the Top 40 under 40 in Massachusetts by Business West Magazine. He’s been featured in the Boston Herald, Black Enterprise Magazine and INC. Magazine. He has shared his voice on the power of changing lives through entrepreneurship with platforms such as NPR, CBS Radio, affiliate ABC and NBC TV stations. Mr. Connolly currently serves as a board member and spokesperson for Junior Achievement Western Massachusetts. All these accolades are great but far from Mychal’s humble beginnings as an immigrant dishwasher. Connolly move to America at the age of seventeen with less than $20 and a dream. He always had drive and ambition which lead him to launch his first business at the age of 9. Connolly’s journey is an amazing story that proves whatever the mind can conceive and believe it can achieve. From the unconventional way he got into college, to the reason he started his company Stinky Cakes and how he launched a national brand with little money, all the way to how almost losing it all made him have a stronger desire to a) succeed and b) give back to his community. Connolly’s journey is a remarkable source of inspiration for anyone that has a dream, believes in their dream and has a strong desire to make their dream a reality.

I love looking forward to the Monday Mastermind calls they're a good way to start the week and end the weekend. The topics are always directly related to what I might be struggling with, thinking about, or working on. Its also a great way to connect with people to share tips, thoughts, and ideas, as well as having open floor to brainstorm with like minded individuals.

Being on the Launch and Stand Out Call is SOOO informative. I find myself taking copious notes every time. Mychal brakes down everything, so it's easy to understand and digest. I feel like I get a mental reset with every call. I call it my MindSet Reset. Being able to hear from other entrepreneurs helps to push me forward. I feel like I'm not alone. There is always someone who is going through what I'm going through, or they have been through it already so they can give me valuable advice. The calls not only give me the ability to network with my peers but also gives me the mental fortitude to tackle through the week. Mychal has built a safe place of like-minded people with the same goal, towards success.

Being an entrepreneur can be mentally exhausting at times, especially when you are working alone. However, the Mastermind calls encourage me to keep working and growing until I reach my goal. Learning from Mychal Connolly and listening to other entrepreneurs share their concerns, techniques or accomplishments, I feel confident knowing I'm not the only entrepreneur on this path. Mychal offers practical advice, that any one (even a child) can follow to be successful in business. After the calls, I am usually fired up with excitement and ready to implement and execute the ideas shared. Although I'm super busy working a fulltime job, running a non profit organization and starting a for profit business, I make time to invest in my self every week, by listening to these Mastermind Calls. Every time I hear from Mychal Connolly, whether Mastermind Calls, Facebook updates, or Launch and Standout training videos, I walk away with knowledge and resources that are currently contributing to my successful and wealth. I honestly can not afford to miss out on these calls.
